I met one today. He's the kind of guy who might freep DU, so I won't go into any great detail about how I met him or who he is. To make a complicated story short, this guy could not stop spouting his repulsive point of view at any opportunity, no matter what the subject was. He made sure to make it clear that he hated protesters and loved Bush and Cheney. The kind of guy who, if you asked him, "Cold enough for you?" would say, "For me, yes, and I hope some war protester is freezing his ass off somewhere." I can't think of many left-wingers who spout off about how much they hate Bush at any opportunity. But I've encountered numerous right-wingers who would trash the Clintons or Al Gore at the very slightest provocation.

What is up with that?

and I leave politics aside in such circumstances. This guy just couldn't help himself. I don't know if there are similar kinds of right wingers in other countries. This seems like a typically American phenomenon. Rabid and thoughtless. Anti-intellectual. From an outsider perspective, one-down--there's a particular word that's on the tip of tongue--jealous...spiteful...bitter...frothing. Do they have this kind of winger in Brazil?

just a bunch of em are giving the moderate conservatives a bad rap. You just have to be careful about who you hang out with. There is a right wing guy who listens to Rush Limbaugh who lives across the hall from me and he is super friendly. Too bad people want to drag other people's name through the mud.
