To all the honest and generally *good* people out there:
Thank you! You renew my faith in humanity.

Thank you to Delia G and her dad, who found my wallet the other day and are returning it to me with all the cash still in it. Delia's dad wouldn't accept a reward for returning it because he says that returning it was simply "the right thing to do". Thank you.

Thanks also to Elio who saw me walking down the street in a bad part of Gary because I missed my train stop a few months ago, and stopped to give me a ride back to my car. "You shouldn't be out here walking in the middle of the night", he said. He wouldn't accept any money for the ride either.

Whenever there's any hesitation on my part to do the "right thing", I'll think of you two.

 :loveya:

My day just got a whole lot better.

1. By "missed" your train stop, you mean "slept through," right?
:hi:

 They are great people. :D

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to say thank you to the three people who helped me get my car out of a parking garage back in December. Some asshole had literally parked three millimeters away from the rental car I was driving for work, and they were nowhere to be seen. A very nice man stopped to help me when he saw my dilemma, and two others (a man and a woman) stopped when they saw us. I had alerted the garage attendant about the jerk who parked next to me, and they called security to help me. The four of us figured out a way to move my car without scratching or denting either car (used the trunk mat between the cars), and I was so grateful to all of them that I offered to buy them dinner. (Security didn't get there until after we had gotten things straight.) None of them would accept, but I thanked them profusely and even offered them a reward. Nobody accepted, and all of them said, "It was the right thing to do." :D I hope they realize just how kind and wonderful they were (and still are, I'm sure!).

4. It's nice to know
that there are still good people out there. Glad you shared. Too often, posters just complain about all of the assholes.
