I rescued our gerbil, Ted Stevens' (he likes tubes), life last night.

The little rodent got out of his cage last night (pretty easy when the lid's off), and was finally located at 0-3-hundred, under a chair in the family room (downstairs from his luxe digs) under the active surveillance of Ricki the cat.

Ted bit the heck out of my finger but I got him back in the cage.

His left leg's got a little dried blood on it but he seems okay -- walking, eating, drinking...maybe a bit jumpy, though.

Why why why did we get Toots those 2 gerbils? The other one (Sam) tangled w/ Ricki last week.
