Revolt of the machines and the emergence of superbaby
I loaded up the dishwasher turned it on and nothing. The door latch switch is bad. I call the repairman and he won't be out until Monday. I go down and throw a load of clothes in the washer. I return to find the floor drain backed up but slowly draining. Called Rotorooter and they will be out on Monday. I faxed some documents for my son to his loan officer using my HP Printer/Fax software and it dutifully logged that the 5 pages were sent to the correct fax number. I get a call about an hour later from a realtor who got my faxes. The only thing the same about the two phone numbers was that they are in the same area code. I was afraid to, but I used the gas oven OK at dinner time, so this must be one of thos things that happens in threes.

My grandson turned one last week and this week at grandma day care he learned he can pile up things and clamber up on them and reach just about anything. He figured out what button on the phone is the connect, what the buttons on the TV do, that the TV makes a cool noise when you run across the room with your walker and crash into it, that video sleeves open, that lofting things across the room is fun, that grandma makes a funny face when he suddenly shreiks in her ear, how to open the baby proof latches for the drawers on an end table (we reversed it), also how to walk, that candy canes are really good, that Christmas lights are "pretty", and with all his new 1 year old toys from his birthday he can make twice the mess in half the time. In between he gives lots of hugs and kisses so I guess it evens out.

And so it goes...
