1. I think the Dodgers are the team to beat right now.
If Glavine is out for the year, the Mets are in big trouble in a short playoff series.

The only thing that could get into the way is if the Astros somehow manage to get into the playoffs. Their pitching staff is the only one that's better than the Dodgers' top to bottom.

The Cardinals? Hahahahahaha! Not enough pitching. x(

2. As long as Cincy keeps choking at opportune times...
You all should still sneak by with the division. If it helps, the Reds are coming to town at the end of the month, and we'll do our best to help you. ;-)

I agree about the Mets. I just don't see them making the NLCS without Glavine.

4. Reds came back to beat the Astros tonight.
They scored 4 in the 8th. My cow-irkers will be displeased tomorrow. :D

I'm happy the Cardinals got the Dodgers when they were sucking wind. ;)

5. La Russa said as much!
He said after their last series with the Dodgers that he is glad they aren't playing them later, because they will be tough to beat... and then that massive losing streak in July occurred, and I thought, "What does he know that I don't? Or he is on crack?" Then they made those key trades... and whaddya know? La Russa nailed it!

7. Yeah, he's a smart one alright.
Too bad he gets wound so tight he transfers that to his team and they end up choking in the playoffs.

How sad is that a pitching staff anchored by Penny, Maddux and Lowe could be the best in the NL playoffs?

10. Not sad at all!
And with Broxton and Saito in the 'pen... all they need is the bats to be hot at the right time. Nomar is having a career year as long as he stays healthy.

9. Pedro ain't got it this year and without Glavine, Mets are gonna be hurtin
Dodgers are a solid club and playing good ball right now, plus they've got momentum coming into the stretch.

They're gonna do it...you watch.

8. *gasp*
Say it isn't so...say you didn't leave a baseball game for....WWE?

My Cubbies trailed into the ninth and then came within a run with two out...Nevin singles and here comes My Barrett...

Popped one up in foul territory. We are talking the Cubs, after all.

:eyes:

Still...you watched WWE?

I'm crushed. Disappointed.
