Who is the Worst wingnut musician?
My pick is Ted Nugent. While some of his music is okay, he really grates on me as a person.

1. Nugent, by far. His music blows, he's a horrid guitarist
And his personality is that of a brain damaged Hitler Youth.

2. Tobey Keith is the most annoying
He's the Britney Spears of country music - all showmanship. Britney crassly exploits her T and A, just like Keith exploits the flag...

6. I'll second Toby!
Anyone who writes a song laughing about Afgani farmers running away as the American bombs fall is a sicker and more twisted puppy than I am...and that is saying something.

4. Tie
between Daryl Worely (sp?) and Toby Keith. Make that a three way tie with Ted Nugent. Ug.

Toby gets a special prize for having an especially bad hair do, even for a country singer.

13. Robin Williams
Removed from boycott list because he did a USO tour?

I somehow doubt Robin thinks great things about the wingnuts.

Honoring the troops is not honoring the war or Bush.

9. If I hear...
That Daryl Worley tripe one more time, I am gonna walk to Nashville, stomp a mudhole in Daryl's ass and walk it dry.

The last thing I need in this life is a lecture on proper citizenship from some git-fiddle picker who writes songs that insult my intelligence.

27 years in the music business has worn my patience a little thin.

22. Marshall Tucker Band, because...
...at the opening of the U.S. leg of the Dixie Chicks' tour, MTB, who had a hit that no one I know can even remember the title of, back in, say, the Paleolithic era, offered not just free tickets but BACKSTAGE PASSES for their "Anti-Dixie-Chick Concert." All you had to do was turn in your DC tix. Gee, there's a head scratcher: Go see the talented, sexy trio that have basically revitalized alternative country for a generation, or stand around the back of a civic center with some sixty year old has-beens and their AA sponsors...

When I heard that Marshall Tucker was speaking out against the DC's speaking out (irony as always is lost on Freepers), I took a deep breath and screamed aloud "But what, what is Poco's take on the issue?!?!"

24. Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA"
Worse than Toby Keith.

Although I've never cared for Ted Nugent. Many years ago, I worked in a music club where he played for two nights. I've heared much loud music in my day (front row at the Houston Catacombs for Canned Heat, Country Joe & the Fish & the Mothers of Invention), but the Nuge was loud & bad. Not worth the tinnitus. It figures his politics match.

I'll never forget him during debacle 2000, saying he was sure that the next President of this country would be Bush. (And yes, his name is deliberately misspelled in the subject line.)
