So I watched the new show Vanished tonight....

and I loved it! The only other series I liked THIS much from the first episode is LOST. Did anyone else see it? Thoughts?

1. I have Tivo set up to record the FX showing

later this week, I believe. I was intrigued because one of the lead actors on "Vanished" appeared as Wyatt Earp on Deadwood, and I really liked him (I think his name is Gale Harold??) I think he used to be on Queer as Folk, too, but I've never seen that show. Anyway, I'm glad to hear it was good! Will have to get back to ya with my two cents after I see it later this week.

2. He's the reason I watched it

I loved Queer as Folk but I was concerned that the actors I really liked would find a difficult time getting new roles. Not so much because of the gay factor (although that did cross my mind unfortunately), but because the series lasted for so long. Actors on long series, for the most part, seem to have a hard time finding new roles.

3. I watched cuz I thought it my be like "24"

Which is currently the best action-packed soap opera on TV. I wasn't disappointed. The dialogue was pretty well written and there was some smart procedural stuff though it didn't seem quite as authentic as "24" does. Nonetheless, there are enough threads and tangents that I'm intrigued.

Can't wait for LOST, tho.
