My sister and BIL have been married 25 years. The BIL is a dear man, I love him very much. He is a creature of habit, one of his most time-consuming habits being watching television. Sports, primarily. I don't know if he watches fishing or NASCAR, but he watches MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA hoops & football . . . . and golf.

Today they left for Del Mar (So. California) to spend 3 days at the hotel where they honeymooned. I asked my sister to send me (via camera phone) a photo of San Diego.

She sent me a photo of my BIL, sitting on the edge of the bed, watching TV. :rofl:

1. That is sad, and funny

My husband isn't quite that bad, just barely. His family took us to Lake Tahoe several years ago and everyone wanted to stay inside and watch sports on TV. What is the point of spending large sums of money to go some place nice if all you are going to do is watch TV indoors? We have TV at home, too. :shrug:

but at the time that it happens, nope. Not funny. I'm lucky though because my husband doesn't like to watch sports. :D

As it happens, I literally refused in my younger years to date a rabid sports fan. Embarking once again into the single world, I will probably do the same thing again. I don't understand it, I don't appreciate it, and I know it piles on the weight. IOW, it bothers me. But I have no doubt that your BIL is a super fellow, don't get me wrong.
