I'm a Mommy - again!!! (Kitten pics)
Meet CC and Keith, who were adopted this afternoon. They are slowly getting to know their much older sisters, Oreo and Binky.

This is CC. He is already exploring every nook and cranny, and fearlessly walked right up to Oreo (who didn't appreciate that very much at all). His purring sounds more like growling, and when he gets excited, he sounds like he's grunting like a pig!

This is 9 Lives. I'm hoping he'll like the name Keith. He is very, very shy, and wouldn't leave his carrier. I showed him the litterbox, and he sat right down in it and wouldn't get up! Right now, he is hiding under the sofa in the family room. His hair is much shorter than in this photo. Or, he is much, much bigger than he was just a few months ago. The really cool thing was finding out that he was born about the same time that Mom died...like he was sent from heaven! O8)

6. All the way over there, I was terrified.
I think I'm beginning to understand how and why new parents get so nervous. But once I met them, I was hooked for life! :)

5. Adorable!
I thought Keith was going to have medium hair like yours does, but now that he's a bit more grown, his hair is shorter. I sure would like to see him again, but he's under the sofa kingdom - probably for a while. :)

Thank you for adopting them. It sounds like you will give them a wonderful home! I just adopted out my foster kitten yesterday. I miss him, but I cant keep them all and my two cats are happy and speaking to me again.

28. A friend suggested I get Feliway ( a pheromone spray)
Damn, that stuff is good! It calmed EVERYBODY down, and now all four are cuddled up sleeping somewhere in the house. Even Oreo is doing far better than I expected!

29. I will have to remember that stuff.
Every time I foster a kitten my two growl and hiss the whole time I have the foster. Maybe Feliway will work magic here too. Do you get that at Petsmart

32. I think Petsmart carries it.
You can get it in a spray, or a plug-in diffuser (which might be more useful in your setting). My vet had some in stock. It ain't cheap. One spray bottle was $35. But IMO, well worth it.

34. I really going to have to look in to it.
The humane group I with might even help me pay for it, because right I have to take a brake for a couple of months after I foster each kitten, because it upsets my to babies so much. Thanks for the info.

36. Ask your vet about it, too.
Perhaps the organization would provide it, or someone would be willing to donate some to foster homes.

And bless you for the loving homes you provide!

41. RC, you can find Feliway at Blain's Farm & Fleet for around
$25 for the liquid + dispenser or around $15 for the refill. They don't have any locations in Green Bay, but there are several other locations in Wisconsin depending on how much you may travel about the state. The stuff worked great with the kitties belonging to my ex and I, and it was quite the deal to find the stuff for a lot less than Petsmart sold it for.

http://www.farmandfleet.com/storelocator.asp#

I'm referring to the product that plugs into an outlet like those air fresheners so the Feliway is diffused at a constant rate (see the "Comfort Zone" product)

What beautiful babies!!!!!!

I am begging my boyfriend to let me have another baby(kitten) but we already have two dogs and two cats and he and my mom just won't go for it :(

9 Lives looks like my precious baby cat Kittyboy when he was a kitten. Kittyboy is in heaven now.

18. I originally was only going to get one kitten.
I already have two. Last year, we lost their brother Roo... and Keith is strikingly similar to him. Besides, I couldn't leave him. He and CC are best buddies, and CC uses his parental instincts to cuddle and calm him. It's too adorable for words.

20. Well, let's see....
They've already explored every room in the house.
They've found their way into some of the lower kitchen cupboards.
CC already knows that refrigerators = food, and stands in the doorway every time it's opened.
Their diet, before today, was dry food. Now they've had chicken. Even better than moist food.

Oh, and what was *that* crash I just heard??

Last week, I gave her some shrimp I had in the freezer. Suddenly, the old, vivacious Bink was back, gobbling to her heart's content! Her energy level is getting back to normal... even with new critters in the house.
