Of all the people with whom you share a birthday, who's the biggest putz?
Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 07:56 PM by Rabrrrrrr
For me it's either Donny Osmond, for being a non-musician making money as a musician; or Emmet Kelley for being a clown, and a famous one, making even more people think that clowning is funny, interesting, or relevant, and not to mention floowing the world with his shitty clown paintings; or Clarence Birdseye, for inventing a form of food preservation that ushered in the day of massive environmental degradation so people could have food out of season from places far from their geographic locale.

Oh, and Tip O'Niel would be included, but he's an evil craptastic assinine old piece of shit, not a putz.

14. Mine seem mostly cool, though Gary Busey is a tad...um...eccentric
Slim Pickens, Richard Lewis, and Fred Grandy are among the contenders, and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry sounds like he was a cool dude.

Although, actually, I was born on the other side of the International dateline from all these dudes, so in reality -- in terms of real time rather than calendar time -- I should be looking at people born the day before (including John Cusack, to whom a few people claim I bear some resemblance, as well as Pat Morita, John Elway, Kathy Bates, Richard Rodgers, Gilda Radner, and Mel Brooks) and on that day was born the rather nasty King Henry VIII of the Land of Eng. :scared:

22. Possibly a few, for it is tomorrow (August 21) . . .
Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 10:08 PM by HughBeaumont
But for the notables, the great Count Basie was born on this day in 1904. As was animation pioneer Isadore (Friz) Freleng (1905). King William IV, who presided over a reform crisis, was born in 1765. From the Sports World: Basketball great and Pimp of the Sports Century Wilton Chamberlain (1936), BYU/Bears QB Jim McMahon (1959), diminutive Indians killer Craig Counsell (1970). The SubGenius lunatic and kingpin Ivan Stang (1954), always a joy to read. Also actors, musicians and actresses - Chicken Roaster/Botox fiend/First Edition vocalist Kenny Rogers (1938), Mod Squad badass and Samuel Jackson road-paver Clarence Williams III (1939), titsy chick Barbara Ann Moore (1968), dead titsy porn star Trinity Loren (1964), gay-only-for-the-cash porn star Jeff Stryker (1962), Lassie herself Kim Catrall (1956), Journey drum GOD Steve Smith (1954), rock GOD Joe Strummer (1952, RIP) Kim Sledge of Sister Sledge (1957), Carrie Ann Moss (1967) of Matrix fame, hawt redhead actress Alicia Witt (1976) and Serj Tankian (1967) of System of a Down. More recently, singer of that retarded "Milkshake" song Kelis (1979), Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly (1979) and blond actress Hayden Panettiere, who's exactly 20 years younger than me (1989).

Our British friends might think Princess Maggie (1930) was somewhat of a putz if not pitiable.

But three quite prominent putzes come to mind when you think of August 21 -

Steve Case (1958)- founder and Corporate dicta-twat of AOL, possibly the worst thing to happen to 1's and 0's since (c)Brain.

Amy Fisher (1974) - Paramour of ugly fat bastard Joey Buttafuco and assailant of his wife Mary Jo, now a "successful" writer, whatever that means.

Nathan Jones, whom I share an EXACT birthday with down to the year. Aussie pro wrestler, a heel for the WWE who was rumored to have lactated due to excessive steroid use (since proven false) and sucked balls in the ring. Was in the movie Troy in a blink-and-miss thing.

Speaking of Donny Osmond, maybe his grandson Dylan (2005) could qualify as a future putz? I doubt it.
