Mine... well... It wasn't all that good, but it was mentioned in the DaVinci code. On October 13, King Philip IV issued an Execute Order 66 on the Knights Templar in France. They were later tortured into admitting things they had never done. Joy.

Yes, my birthday, October 13, is on a Friday this year. Double joy.

Not that it is 'exciting', but it is tied in to so much of the ongoing strife in the Middle East. During the Six Day War, June 4-10, 1967, Israel seized the Golan Heights, Gaza, the West Bank, and the Sinai. The Camp David accords negotiated by President Carter in 1978 made Israel give the Sinai back to Egypt, and they have been at peace since it was handed back over in 1982, but as we all know too well, the other seized areas are at the root of the current morass.

I was born on the sixth day of the Six Day War, on the sixth day of the week, during the sixth hour of the day, during the sixth decade of the century, during the sixth month of the year. :evilgrin:

In 1976, on my 9th birthday, we were living in Spain, and on that day, the undercover police caught the man who had walked into our house a few days before, during broad daylight, and stole some items, while my sister was home! She was unharmed, and we recovered all the items. I will never forget that ugly &#*@# face when the car pulled up at our house, so my sister could identify him (this was how it was done in the immediate post-Franco era in Spain). Safe to say, he is probably still rotting in a prison somewhere... they don't fuck around.
