A new laptop with a PASSWORD so my kids can't snoop. It's so fast because it isn't loaded down with every movie clip, cartoon, song, video, you name it. Just my stuff. Sigh. It's so darned satisfying. And tomorrow I'm going to buy my own psc all in one,
JUST FOR ME!

1. I think I will need an upgrade as well, but

not for anything important. I just want to play games like this one. This is the Flight Simualtor X demo that I recently downloaded and with which I had some fun.

2. I admit it, I'm not much of a game player...

I already feel guilty about the time I spend reading DU. HOWEVER, that looks like a cool game. These days I'm doing self-hypnosis, but maybe not enough of it. I can take this baby up to my room and away from all the noise and annoyance. Those games, they use a lot of memory, don't they?

15. Well really what they eat up are

CPU and GPU(video card)cycles and all the mathematical algorithms that go into calcualting all the different moves of the characters and/or object. As far as memory, nowadays for gaming I would not have anything less that 1GB of fast RAM memory. I have 2GB.

I've been wanting to upgrade for the past year...at least. I want a new computer and broadband access. With me, it's not so much fighting the kids for the computer as it is the phone line.

feel rather sorry for myself :( I try to imagine the situation that would find me in a longterm, loving relationship with a guy who looks like god and it doesn't ring true. 19. My friend was having the worst problems with her only computer

It was bogged down and running extremely slow. So I helped her reimage it and then gave her kids (ages 4 & 8) my old desktop computer. She says that it's been working so much better now that half the junk isn't all over it and the kids have a computer of their own. In fact I just recently updated their desktop with my more recent tossaway and even left like 3000 songs I had uploaded from my CDs for the kids to use (We went through and cleaned out anything not appropriate)
