Update on Kitty

The vet will be keeping StirFry overnight. He's going to have to clean out and clip back the claw. It looks to him as though there's a bit of infection starting. He's explained that if the damage is bad enough and the infection deep enough, he may have to removed the digit.

Kitty would get along fine with one less digit on the paw. He'd still be fierce in the moggie version of a barroom brawl.

The bones and the pads are fine, and StirFry has been walking around and even jumping up to the window sill on that paw, so the vet says that's a pretty good sign.

I'll pick him up at around 3:00 tomorrow (so that's around 6:00 p.m. for east coasters).

he'll be fine. My first cat was a major scrapper - would fight anything, any time, any place. He lived to be 16. Meanest ol' cat I ever knew, but I loved him.

My kitty Karma has improved immensely since then - I've had nothing but great cats since Scooter.

12. When he was a kitten,

small enough to fit in my cupped hands, he used to entertain himself by chewing electrical cords. I kept telling him if he didn't stop he'd end up as Stir Fry. After a while I just started referring to him that way.
