3. Send some to Austin!
We're dry as a bone here. No rain in about a month or so.

4. Yikes!
That's not typical?

Texas is so huge...I'm not sure where the line of demarkation is between the steamy heat starts and the arid heat...

7. The line starts west of the Hill Country
Somewhere around San Angelo. The drought here is pretty bad. I've seen whole fields of corn all dried up and withered. That can't be good.

8. Yeah, but out here we have our thingies, too
Nothing and no place is immune. Come February when we've forgotten what our fingertips feel like, you'll be glad you're where it's warm.

By comparison though, I've gotta admit I'd rather deal with a blizzard every couple of years than the annual threat of hurricanes.
