I spent the last 2 days redoing my daughters room--pics
omg i am so fing tired and my whole body is sore, she was all excited to re-do her room until all the prep work began "Hey it looks so much easier on TV" no kidding, the tv show has an entire crew to de-construct, spackle, tape, primer and clean up. Anyhow her room was a light lilac with a floral theme and that was fine for 6 years but she's gotten older and her tastes have changed---a lot. I started with a budget of $700 and all thats left to pick up is 2 table lamps which i think i can do for about that. Her room is pretty small, about 11x11 and i was a little concerned about that back wall but i think it turned out pretty good, it's a huge change but she loves it.

2. VERY nice.
what do think about painting the dresser black to go with the room -- i.e. bring that wall into the room?

6. that dresser, that thing has become quite a bone of contention, she hates
it and i understand why, it totally doesn't go with her new found love of mod, i'm thinking of checking out some consignment stores for a smaller one with sleeker lines. That back wall is actually a really dark chocolate color.

11. ah -- well dark chocolate then --
which by the way i like even better.

it's transitional furniture -- which is sort of neither here nor there.

it's hard to love -- but it CAN go with a lot of stuff -- which is why it's used so often.

I don't know what it looked like before, but this is great. Wanna come and redo my sunroom? I joke. Unless, of course, you really do want to...
