Google sucks and is getting suckier
First, they give preference to payed listings, then google.com starts resolving to google.ca without any explanation (is this happening to anyone else?), now it's down completely. Search results in general have been horrible for the past year or so. It's very frustrating.

I used to respect Google as a company and as a useful tool. Now I hate them. Even google groups is managing to suck. Bah humbug.

1. I like the new book search function
Add "site:print.google.com" to the search and it'll search in books (much like amazon) .

The only problem I have is switching between the English and the German news search - this doesn't work quite as good as I'd like.

2. I noticed that as well.
The whole Google engine seems to be off a few degrees. It's like getting an answer from someone trying to listen to Rush Limbaugh...nothing makes sense.

3. Google is fine
It is working fine for me. It is resolving correctly. The searches I do are great. I have never noticed them bringing up skewed results. They do use the right side of the screen for ads, but the searches are straight up.

5. Your Right About The Paid Listings Part, But...
I still get to google.com. Try clearing your DNS cache.

C:\ipconfig /flushdns <enter>

then

C:\ipconfig \registerdns <enter>

It may take about 15 minutes to refresh but it should work.
