I got a job and need some good vibes (odd request)
A) I don't wanna screw up. Haver never run a cash register b4.

B) I need them to really honor their offer to only have me work in the morning, so I am home for the kida after school.

C) I need to find that delicate balance: making enough money to help the family but not so much that I cause us to lose our MaineCare health coverage. (Job starts at $6.75 an hour)

I still cannot believe this stupid country hasn't got universal healthcare. If we and other first world countries were houses, they'd be nice sleek condos whereas our shag carpeting is wearing thin and the tiles have fallen out of the suspended ceiling.

Just yesterday I was thinking that I hadn't seen you around as much.:hi:

Best of luck with this new job.

A)Give yourself a little time to get used to the register. It will become second nature soon enough.

B) and C) Can only offer you good vibes here. I hope that when your employer realizes what a gem they have working there they'll be only too happy to keep your schedule as promised.

It is sad that you need to consider working less just to keep health insurance for the kiddos. What a dumb system in our country. We don't have thin shag carpet anymore, it's old linoleum.

3. You will get used to it in no time!
Way back when, when I worked at a cash register in a local supermarket,we had those old, non digital machines and you had to figure out the change yourself. I was nervous but even I figured it out within a few days. Good luck to you!:-)
