Whatever happened to...
Those cheesy Friday and Saturday night movie hosts?
I mean, just about everyone remembers "Elvira," (oh, YASSS!) but what about local talent?

In Green Bay on channel 11 they had a guy called "Ned The Dead."

In Milwaukee, on channel 12 was a guy called "Toulouse No-Neck," had all his "Zombie Friends" and like Ned, showed those B-movie (or worse) "horror" flicks like "The Brain That Wouldn't Die."

This is a picture of No-Neck with me, I'm the one on the left. :-)

1. Whatever happened to Mr Benchley?
Oh, that's right - the vile, insulting, non-dialogical piece of shit was finally tombstoned four years after he should have been for being one of the most extreme and utter ASSHOLES I have ever encountered in my life.

Do you remember a show called "Dimension 13"? It was on TV in Janesville, but I can't remember where channel 13 was - I'm thinking it might have been Rockford, in which case you probably didn't get it, but might have been Madison or Milwaukee. It was a Friday night show, hosted by some local guy, that showed horror movies.

There was also Channel 18 (I think it was 18) out of Milwaukee that for a long time in the 70s had horror movies on Saturday night. I cna't remember what it was called, and I don't remember it having a host, only a voiceover, but it always began with a video of a book (an old leather bound volume) with a tarantula crawling across it.

2. Channel 18 I remember.
I lived in Sheboygan or Sheboygan county most of my life.

About 20 years ago channel 18 got into some real hot water for showing R-rated movies UNcut.
Even that late at night they still got into trouble.

11. I remember those days - and I remember watching some show
on Channel 18 about their movie playing policy, and they had some people from the community on there for a "discussion" and one harpy bitch shrew, probably a Jesus-Crispy, was all in a blather about how it's the TV station's responsibility to make sure her kids don't see anything she doesn't want them to see.

I kept screaming at her (from home, so she couldn't hear me) TURN THE FUCKING CHANNEL! YOU HAVE A CHANNEL KNOB YOU BITCH!

People who piss and moan about how children should be "protected" by the stations piss me off. TO the parents, I say, "If yer that fucking worried, then don't have a TV. Don't spoil it for the intelligent people, thank you."

3. Channel 13 is out of Rockford.
I used to endure snowy reception so I could watch "All Star Wrestling" on Sunday afternoons, after church. :)

6. Milwaukee also
had Dr. Cadaverino & Igor on Channel 6. I think it was Jack DuBlon as the Dr., who also did the voice for Albert the Alleycat along with other characters.

I had forgotten about Toulouse No-Neck. Thanks!
