If you stop looking like you might be a seal, he will probably realize the thing he's stalking is just an inanimate object and give up. (Sharks really don't like to eat humans anyway--we taste bad and are too bony.) If he attacks, hit him really, really hard on the tip of the nose.

After that, I'd prepare to become shark bait, praying to god he just 'bumps' me and doesn't try for the 'taste test' approach. Of course, I'd pray like mad that I'd actually recall that I can hit him on the nose, preferably with a firmly-gripped paddle. . .

I may, perhaps, shit myself again, because, hell, why not?

The last shark-related death in my home state was in my hometown. Although it was in the 30s, I have horrid memories of days where we couldn't go in the water at the town beach cos sand sharks, etc., would be trolling 'round the piers. :scared: Terrifying, yet fascinating creatures, those sharks.
