1. I was actually thinking about going to

..see the silly movie, but now that I've read good reviews I might reconsider. I rarely enjoy a movie critics like (I don't know why, it just works like that).:shrug:

2. I think the critics liked it because

they went in expecting a cheap trashy summer crowd-pleaser flick...and that's what it is. So it did deliver on what it promised to be. :shrug: :)

Just one line leaped out at me: "Hurry! Get to the back of the plane!" Somehow, I imagine it being a tad more dramatic in the theater. Just a hunch.

I really think I need to buy that book, though. Novels based on screenplays are usually really awful, but often pretty funny. :D

I laughed, I squirmed in my seat, I screamed. And my husband (who is terrified of snakes) kept leaning over to whisper in my ear " I hate you".

My sons thoroughly enjoyed it too- it was the highlight of our summer NYC weekend. Well, except for seeing the taping of the Colbert Report. :-)
