Poll question: I am having a massive Slurpee craving.
And no, I'm not stoned. I haven't even had a Slurpee in about three years. I remember this because I was still going to Centenary College at the time. Why does my brain waste its power on such memories? Anyway, I know that if I go out for one, there's a chance the machine will be broken and then I'll have to embark on a massive journey, just like in Harold & Kumar (it's happened before). Gah!

2. I've been on a massive grape slushy quest for about three years.
i gave up when I finally found one in a small town in australia, but the machine was broken. By all means try, but if you start to see that you're on an epic journey. give up.

5. Once I'm on an epic journey, I can't stop.
I inherited that trait from my father. That man could make a stupid mission out of anything and somehow drag the entire family along for the ride.

6. There are no Sonics in NJ.
Anyway, there is no other frozen beverage that is comparable to a Slurpee, even an Icee.

12. Iowa's not flat
That's a myth put out by Illinoisans to keep you captive on the east side of the river. Iowa is rolling. Don't believe me? Ride RAGBRAI* once. Everyone who does ends up bitching about the hills in "flat" Iowa.

11. Go for the slurpee!
I've been wanting one for days and resisting. I pass a 7-11 everyday on my way to work and can hear the Slurpee machine calling me. Part of me says "come on, it's just semi frozen sugar water" but they're good!

You know, Slurpee's kind of remind me of college, too. I seem to recall piling into some student-esque beater car and driving around town to multiple 7-11's looking for the best flavors...LOL :silly:

18. I HAVE ACHIEVED THE SLURPEE!!!!!
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 05:18 PM by haruka3_2000

I almost went to a second 7-11, though. Only two flavors passed the pin test. By the way, this was the same 7-11 that my friend was once screamed at "I hate all you fucking crackers! Do not come back to my 7-11!" after he conducted the pin test. I got once of those big two flavor cups. Passionfruit and Pepsi. After I poured it, I realized it was the Crystal Light Passionfruit. Of course, the Crystal Light flavor sucked, but it's okay because it melted within 20 seconds of leaving the 7-11 anyway. It had been a bit iffy on passing the pin test though. Oh well, I'm satisfied with the Pepsi. I was hoping for the ever elusive Pina Colada though.

31. Next to the real handle there is a pin with a ring on it.
If you pull the pin, it will shoot out a small stream of slurpee. This way, you can see the consistency of the Slurpee better before you actually select your flavor. It also seems to really piss off the 7-11 dude.

21. what about a Slushee? or a brand X gas station knock off?
I got hooked on the generic gas station kind one summer. But there is a store not too far from my house that sells the real thing. Cherry flavored crack in a cup.

27. It's been a long time.
I haven't had a Slurpee in years. And there are 7-11's all around. I just haven't set foot in one in years. I think my Slurpee decline began when I started carrying water with me on the bike. No reason to stop for an icy thirst quencher . I used to like the grape and lemonade mix.

36. Well, I did satisfy my Slurpee craving.
I'm doing okay. Slightly bored. I'm debating whether to take an Adderall and stay up all night being productive (i.e. clean my room) or take a perc and go to bed due to boredom.
