The Very Best Thing About DU...

After an entire day of listening to the propoganda and lip service from the fools that are in charge, it's nice to visit here at night and see that there are people just as outraged and shocked and concerned as I am.

I must tell you coming here makes me feel less alone in a country where I'm constantly told down is up...and dark is light and evil is good. It's like a Dali version of Through the Looking Glass except it's not odd chess pieces that are falling apart, but the lives of children, families, every day working people. I am constantly pushed to look through the glass, darkly.

But here...in this place...I feel hope that there will be change. Hope that we can make it different. It's like a warm fire on a cold and rainy night. I thank DU for being here, I praise my luck in finding it, and especially thank all the DU members for keeping my hope alive.
