Please help me fathom this logic re: telemarketers who call re: mortgages

I don't own/pay for a home.

I rent.

Surely when they look up people, that little suffix reading "Apt ___" would clue them in, perhaps????!

1. They figure you'll remember the name of the company

if you ever need a mortgage.

2. They call me at least twice a day, every day, with a recording

They offer me re-financing. The same stupid recorded voice every time, with no way to tell them to put me on their do-not-call list. It's like that stupid machine is deliberately taunting me: "Here is something you can NEVER have, made for people who are better than you." Stupid, stupid machine!

I don't own a home and likely never will. Why they continue to waste their time is a mystery.

3. it's the mortgage & money lending industry, the market for people...

that want, or need money is drying up, so they cold call to drum up buisness...when the interest rates were low, re-fi loans were flying out the front doors of these places with little effort, interest rates going up, lenders (they can be the real stinkers) need that 'sucker born every minute' Barnum talked about to work their money while sitting on their ass...
