Grad school rant....

So we've got this brand new Humanities Bldg on campus....

Beautiful. All steel, glass, tile and granite. A mulit-million dollar ediface and...

get this...

NOT ONE STICK OF FURNITURE IN THE COMMON AREAS. :argh:

Welcome to the new Humanities Center at UNC-Greensboro. Bring your own lawn chair. :banghead:

AND to top it off...

None of the faculty are comfortable with the classroom configuration. As an undergrad, I'd been moving my desk into a circle for these people for 5 frigging years. I had hoped that our shiny new building would have seminar space (cue John Belushi) BUT NOOOOOOOOOO!!! We're still wasting class time moving the damn furniture around...
