GRrrrr I hate calling my VISA company for information

The woman who I spoke to did not understand at all what I was asking about and it just makes my blood boil.

I am making business travel reservations. I am using my corporate card that I just got. I wanted to make sure that it was activated because the hotel conference booking service complained that it wouldn't work. I rarely use the card but I called to find out if everything was okay.

The woman did not understand what I was talking about, she spoke english but her command of how to use english was severely lacking...she was using a script and could not grasp what I was asking...

She then told me..."thank you...have a nice day"...and hung up.

For christ sakes....this drives me nuts!

1. Ask to speak with someone who is American.

My mother has done that, and gotten results. She has difficulty hearing, and a heavy accent makes it nearly impossible.

2. I work in Info Technology

I have to talk to those "script readers" all the time; it is so frustrating I cannot bring myself to talk to them when I am off work
