2. What fun and exciting things do you have planned?

My kids went back to school this morning...I get my house back -- I get my life back. I've already vacuumed and washed my kitchen floor and done the dishes and TURNED OFF THE TEE VEES!!!! And, I know that when I go back downstairs for another cup of coffee...it'll still be quiet and clean.

6. They always seem to start on a Thursday...

it's the weirdest thing. I remember always starting on a Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. And, if I'm not mistaken, last year they had a three-day weekend the first weekend of school. Went for two days and then three days off.

It seems to get earlier and earlier every year. Of course, they're out mid-May, too.

But...for now their little brains are occupied with something other than new and inventive ways to torture each other -- and me -- and I get the chance to breathe.
