I dunno, it's not the best mnemonic device. But 12 planets is a bit much. Maybe we should just go back to the Ptolemaic system: there's only 7 planets in the solar system and anyone who says different, we burn 'em as a witch. Nonetheless, the stupid IAU is about to redefine the term "planet" so that all that crap we learned in 5th grade is now useless. God, I hate science. This is all the fault of that idiotic Planet X that turns out to be larger than Pluto, everyone's favorite planet.

Technically Planet X (the, um, 12th planet) is not really named Xena; its officially named 2003 UB313. But how the hell are you gonna make a mnemonic out of that?

2. Interesting
Who gets to decide what 2003 UB313's common name is, and when are they gonna get around to it?

And rather than go through this exercise, why didn't they just formalize the definition of "planet"?

5. My mother could...LOL
You just have to know my mother.

A Xanax pizza would actually make family gatherings more pleasant. :-)

6. I'm surprised my mother hasn't started putting xanax in pizza.
She believes everyone needs to be heavily medicated since she is.

7. WHeee. If its round and goes round its a planet!
We're doomed once the Oort cloud is fully explored. Won't it be fun when we get up to 40-50 planets? And ceres is a freaking asteroid. No atmosphere, smallish ball of cratered rock=asteroid.
