"So What"- Miles Davis Quintet (1958)
The look on Miles' face while he watches Coltrane blow is priceless; this is one of the best versions of "So What" I've ever heard:

4. I can't stop watching this
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 03:09 AM by enigmatic
Everything is just perfect; Miles acting like he is THE supreme badass (which he was at that time)when doing both his solos; Miles watching Coltrane with feigned disinterest that turns into genuine (for Miles, anyway)awe, and the shots of the rest of the band listening while Coltrane just goes impressionistilly zonkers on sax.

It's amazing to watch...
