Band names that you can't believe nobody has used

I just looked up The Pop Rocks and found that they are an outfit in Nebraska proud to be doing wedding receptions. I think somebody a little more ambitious should buy the name off them.

Another I thought of that seems incredibly obvious but which nobody seems to be using is Restless Leg Syndrome. Don'tchathink?

I didn't bother looking up my favorite fictitious punk-rock band name, Anal Sphinctor Failure. I'm pretty confident it's still available.:)

3. I tried throughout college

to start a single-issue politically-oriented punk band named Sex with Miners at Catholic University in Washington DC.

I wanted to crow god-awful screeds about priest pedophilia in my flat nasal tone-deaf voice and smash guitars with my equally tone-deaf roommates. I had an in at the on-campus bar which hosted live music and it struck me as a really important topic and nobody else on campus would touch it as then-chairman of the board of trustees Bernard Cardinal Law was under investigation for covering up abuse by priests. Everybody chickened out before the show because they were convinced we'd get expelled.

Anyways the name Sex with Miners is free to anybody who wants to use it, provided you record at least one song about Cardinal Law and donate the proceeds to SNAP.

Spent many hours in the library and the Popeteria waiting on my girly.

5. 1998-2002, lurked for 2003

I was the class that enrolled after Brother Pat Ellis (the university president at the time) stated his view that we were a university first and that everybody found Jesus in their own time and it wasn't CUA's job to force the faith on people. It generated record enrollment. Then over that summer, Law and Cardinal Hickey fired him and replaced him with Fr. David O'Connell, the Opus-Dei-loving GOPer ultra-conservative catholic fascist.

Four years later, they gave me 3 free credits so I could graduate just so I'd leave. I returned the favor, as my roommate worked for CPIT, by hanging around campus every free moment I had for another 18 months. If you (or your girlfriend) ever went to any of the band nights in the Ratt or the ADG parties, we've probably met.
