3. I prefer my own local Pakistani grocery.
He always calls me buddy. You dont hear many men calling women buddy. He's so cool. I love him. Sometimes I go there and buy things just to hear his voice. Does that mean I am stalking him?

4. Yes.
But in a good way.

****I do that too...

There's a guy at the Liquor store down the street that I buy beer from because I love the sound of his voice...even though there is a liquor store closer. :D

8. We should compare notes sometime.
I love the sound of this guys accent, especially when he says "buddy." He is such a sweetheart. Back when my aunt could still walk some but was obviously hobbling from the MS, he would come out of the store and pump the gas for her. He doesn't do that ordinarily.

9. The family that runs this store is super polite as well. They go out
of their way to be helpful, which is why I go out of my way to frequent them. :hi:

19. It has been awful here in SE MI of late.
We have a high ME population (highest outside of ME itself) and people think they can say the most outrageous things to them. :(

21. People have been that way and
mistreated them where I live (NC) for as long as I can remember, but it seems worse lately here too, if that's possible.

18. Thousand year eggs (pic below)
I've actually eaten these things. Taste like ammonia. That pretty transparent amber part is the white, the green part is the yoke. The yoke is extremely foul.

26. I do weird stuff. I can't help myself....
They bury them in ashes for a number of months, if I recall correctly. The ash flavors the egg. It goes in a regular uncooked egg and comes out exactly as pictured.

I don't even want to get into the fermented tofu. It's used as a condiment, actually doesn't taste that bad (when cooked in a recipe), but it smells worse than anything.

24. the picture is lovely
and your discription is so inviting......
I was tempted by some of the mystery things at the grocery. You know, the unidentifiable things in vacuum pack bags with absolutely no English on the package.
