35. We lost 4 in a row
FOUR!!!

Poor Norwood, who was a hell of a kicker, was removed quickly and quietly from the town after the legend of the wide-right kick.

Not the Super Bowl, but don't even get me started on the Music City Miracle.

And for all the hockey fans out there, watching the Sabres lose the freakin' Stanley Cup to the Dallas Stars on a "foot-in-the-crease" goal was one of the must stomach-clenching sports experiences in my life.

Besides, nothing will ever, ever beat the horror of watching the Cigarette Smoking Man on the "X-Files" claim that the Bills would neevr win a championship as long as he was alive...

Sigh...

GREAT Game, Kristi Toliver put Allison Bales, in "absolute jail", as Doris Burke would describe with a 3-pointer w/10 seconds left in regulation time.

21. I was at that game
It was a hard-fought battle. The Buckeyes played better than many of us expected. And then came that play in the endzone. The receiver was hit as the ball hit him in the chest. The ball came flying out and landed on the grass.

The referee closest to the play blew the play dead.

The fireworks started going off. The stadium screen announced "Miami Hurricanes 2002 Champions". Workers rushed on field to set up the stage where the trophy was going to be awarded.

And then another referee, who wasn't even close to the play, threw a flag.

I have the game on tape. The announcer immediately says, "bad call", "bad call", "bad call". Afterwards, a celebrating Buckeye fan shook my hand and acknowledge that it was a bad call, but that he wasn't going to compain about it.
