Good Wednesday morning, Crew!

:donut: :hi:
I won't post the crew roster today ... you know who you are! Stop by and say hello. :hi: :bounce: Yes, we all miss Clintmax. But let's not let our crew fall apart while he's away. He did say he'd be back soon. And that should be any time now by anyone's definition! :bounce: :loveya:

How is everyone this Wednesday morning? This is the day Clintmax calls hump day! :woohoo: It's virtual Friday for me, since harldad will be driving home tonight. :bounce:

Rise and shine! Let's get this day started! :bounce: :grouphug:

Feel free to recommend a song for the day. I'm drawing a blank. :P

7. I am doing ok!
I spent all yesterday trying to put together a paper on how we could implement a web service, only to discover that the Oracle JDBC driver doesn't work with the Sun application server! This bug has been around since at least February, so Oracle don't seem to motivated to fix it. Hmm, do you think they could possibly want us to use the Oracle application server instead?

Surely not. ;) That would be so...Microsoft.

How are you?

You are in a good mood this morning, in spite of your wasted effort. :bounce:

I'm fine, thanks. Had a good sleep and I'm going to get my hair cut this morning. :woohoo: I'm not sure exactly where I'm going, but I'll manage to find the place somehow.

3. Good morning MissAirmens
Good to see you. I had a very nice evening yesterday at neweurope's place. Yummy food, nice people to talk to.
Of course I had troubles this morning to get out of the bed. Ugh ....

And I wish I could leave early today but so far my boss hasn't shown up and I am not sure I could leave if she shows up. Ugh .....

:hi: :loveya:

Good to hear that harleydad is coming home tomorrow. How long can he stay this time. Feel free to email me the details :)

4. Good afternoon, MissHC!
:hi: :loveya:

I just emailed you. We must be on the same wavelength. :loveya:

Troubles getting out of bed in the morning are a good sign that you had a great evening! :toast: How did the pie and biscuits turn out? :9

Harleydad's stays are always uncertain, although they do seem to be getting longer. :bounce: No details other than that!

Oh, great ... I just heard a cat puke. :puke: Just how I like to start my day. Clean up in aisle 7!

8. The pie was a great success
I didn't make new biscuits. neweurope had a lot of food anyway, so it would have added to already being full. I need to try the biscuits again for myself before I go public with them :)

Sorry to hear about the cat puking ...

10. Sounds yummy!
:9 What kind of biscuits where you making? Just baking powder ones?

My cats do the traveling puke thing. Can't just sit there and let it all out at once, nooooo. They puke in one place and then find another and another. Then I get to go hunting for it all. That's one more reason why Sylvester gets to stay outside -- I couldn't handle one more cat puking in the house. Sounds like someone ate breakfast too fast.

Thnaks for the  Here's one for you.

11. The other day
I tried buttermilk biscuits.

The only reason for cats to stay at one place to puke is if there is a nice rug to puke on.

14. I've never made them.
Are they like baking powder biscuits, only with buttermilk?

Oh, yeah ... you are so right! But they don't even stay in the same place then. They have to hit every corner of the nice rug. Then they try to "cover it up" by scratching the rug. We had them do that to a hand hooked wool rug. Someone got a hold of a loop and pulled a long run. I had to crochet it back together. It went in the trash before we moved.

24. Hmmm ...
well, you mix flour and baking powder and fat together and then add milk to make a dough, roll them out, cut them into circles, and bake them. Only it seems that buttermilk biscuits must be the same except that they use buttermilk instead of regular milk. I could bother myself to look at a recipe.

So you had a hard time getting out of bed after a night of fun and laugher? Good for you! I had a hard time rolling out of bed too, but I think it's b/c of all the stress at work right now. Oh well, I'll get over it.

Am again attempting to take Friday off. Wish me luck!

:hi:

I wish I could go home now. my boss showed up. But she has to go to a meeting. No way to get off early today so it seems. Maybe an hour or so.

Of course I wish you the best luck so you can take off Friday. Sending all positive vibes over the ocean.

Did you had luck with a cheap ticket to TN?

26. Sad to say, the fare
to TN has not changed. I'm planning a big trip next spring so I've got to be a bit careful with my dollars. But I'll keep looking, I still have some time.

Well, if you get to take off an hour early, well, that's something. Better than nothing I guess.

Thanks for the positive vibes about my Friday, but I think my boss wouldn't dare do to me what he did last week.

Gotta be heading out now. Wishing you a great day, and be sure to take a nap when you get home.

Hope that you find a good hairdresser. And whatever you do, DON'T talk to them. Then they just keep cutting and cutting and cutting.

HAHA! Do you ever dream that it's a strange sound in the distance before it akes you up? I've done that!

This hairdresser was recommended by a lady who works for our insurance agent. I'm going to get it all cut off, so there will be plenty of talking going on. I haven't had a hair cut since the end of May and it's driving me nuts! x(

36. Thanks, Miss HC.

Tomorrow night I'm going to soak in the jacuzzi. It's these ouches that worry me when I go car shopping. I thought I had the Kia adjusted right for my needs x( I guess I was wrong. The Amanti doesn't suit my body no matter which way I tilt the seat my legs are too short. I used the cruise control as much as possible but my hips are killing me.

This time last week I was almost in Fort Lauderdale. I survived the drive in my little car too.

I started a thread about the PT Cruiser because I'm thinking about downsizing from 8 cylinders.

Bet you don't miss FL. Our property taxes are going up $300. USAA wants to raise our insurance rates about 40%. I think they're weeding out the middle class. How are your 4 furry babies?
