to bad the Lakers had a better ...two some...damn, kobe/shaq were just un stoppable I swear...but man, Weber, just plain old sucks in the post season! I hate it when 6'10 forwards, do nothing but jump shots from the perimeter...dammit Weber, drive to the hoop, drive man!...

Damn, I grew to dislike the lakers during my years out in sac...

20. I was pretty happy when they got rid of Webber.
I like the guy, but every time he'd try to shoot the three late in the game I'd want to reach through the TV and show him my Jackie Christie impersonation. He's a good player, but he overestimates his abilities and that's his greatest weakness.

24. I totally agree
I would always say, trade weber, trade his ass! He never does all that good, man if I was a 6'10 monster/beast, I wouldn't be taking jump shots from the perimeter! I would be taking it to the hoop all the time, and he was totally useless in the playoffs, I swear...Christie/Bibby/Peja/Turkalu....and ...Bobby Jackson...great team. Even had Pollard on their team! I met Pollard during his time at University of Kansas, I literally ran into him, outside a movie theater....:)

54. Jackie Christie: wife of Doug Christie (formerly w/Sacto Kings) and the
nuttiest wife in professional sports, some say.

It's a long & wacky story and google is a little bit of help, if you google "Doug Christie's wife" instead of "Jackie Christie."

41. Did you go to their real rival (OSU) or the school that wishes they were?
The second being MSU

I went to none of those schools, I went to WMU, so I have no horses in those races. I just like to tease Spartans, because they have such an inferiority complex.

Hey, I went to Central Michigan -- hating WMU was an entrance requirement. Probably still is.
But you I still like, noonwitch.
John
ON EDIT: In Michigan, just about everyone chooses a side in the Michigan/Michigan State football game. My friends are constantly surprised that I really don't care who wins that contest (I generally go with whichever team has a better shot at a major bowl game). But, as you can probably testify, noonwitch, blood boils in Mount Pleasant and Kalamazoo the week before THE GAME. There's as much passion amongst CMU/WMU students and alumni for that matchup as for any M/MSU or M/OSU contest.

Fire Up, Chips!!!

34. I nearly got into a fight with a couple of Skankee fans in Las Vegas
Was during the 2001 playoffs. I was at the sports book at The Venetian, watching one of the games, and two Skankee fans were sitting behind me. The cocktail waitress came by and I did not hear her ask if I wanted a drink. These two assholes called me a stupid fucking Mariner's fan. Kept making smart ass remarks, so I finally turned around and told them both to fuck off. That shut 'em up.

49. oh man
if I was in that situation....bar fight time...that playoff's soldified my dislike for the Yankee's, that series was a let down, especially after the 116 season, and when the M's dominated the Yanks all season long. And then the Yanks got A-rod a few years later, and I was like...figures. I was lucky though, I was back home surronded by M's fans during that series, so I was in the confines of a safe haven...:)

Notre Dame, ditto.
Man Utd, ditto.
Any expansion team that wins right away (Marlins, D'backs, nearly Panthers (gulp)).
Any team with an RW/fundie coach (FSU, Tennessee, etc.)
Any team that moves from a Blue city to a Red one (you know who you are) :grr:
Any team whose supporters are bigoted fascists (unfortunately un-relegated Lazio, rhymes with "Nazio")

Somehow I've managed to avoid throwing a brick through my TV all these years...
