What a nice thing to see first thing in the morning, you. :loveya: :donut:
She leapt on me with her little paws and did minor cat-laps across my chest & stomach til I woke up & stumbled for the coffee pot. And here you are, Bibaby! I'm still trying to crawl out of a nightmare Sophie thankfully interrupted. Here: NEVER read "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski right before bed.
It was another one of my "Concentration Camp" dreams. I have them every two weeks or so and they're painfully vivid. Every one starts out in a dormitory. My father and my brother are always there. Over the past year, I've seen other Duers in such dreams as fellow prisoners and escapees: you, GIC, bridgit, HypnoToad, asthmaticeog, swag, Dangerously Amused, yvr girl, Writer, etc.
Last night's started in a dorm and we were told to collect what we could stuff in a bag. I always carry the same stash: money, 5 pairs undies, a notebook & pen, cigarettes (for bartering & smoking), liquor (for bartering & self-med) and chocolate (also currency).
Remember those gals from the "Addicted to Love" video? They were the Nazis, dressed up in silver. They and some huge men forced all of us at gunpoint down luridly-lit hallways and damp, winding steps. We walked on narrow dirt wedges, below which the ocean lay 1,000 feet beneath us. Suddenly we were indoors again. We stood on another ledge chained to a fence, forced to sleep standing up. My brother & my father turned out to be ok; they emerged from a small room and gave me a signal with their eyes and hands. I was pushed into a small dark room with another DUer.
The door shut behind us. We were told a nuclear bomb would be dropped and we were safest here- we padded the room silently with plastic sheeting & duct tape :wtf: as we listened for dangerous sounds. There was a tattered blue couch, a stash of canned food, a broken TV and an open closet with clothes on hangers & off. My panic felt like small hammers on my chest. That feeling remained no matter what, so when I opened my eyes I was SO glad to see her Ladyship Sophie!
I hope your dreams were sweeter, my girl.:D And thank you for my nice PM!
