3. Reminds me of a stylized production of [i]Il Trovatore[/i] I saw in Berlin

In the scene where they abduct Leonora from the convent, there was a life-size crucifix with a live Jesus bearing Christmas-light stigmata. The nuns, who are offstage in more traditional productions, were onstage in habits of colors that do not appear in nature but often appear on birthday cakes. At the climax of the scene the nuns and the abbuctors were all dancing together, and Jesus gets down off the crucifix to dance with a bishop!

This production was booed soundly when it premiered.
