I went to the county clerk's office to fill out my absentee ballot request. I mentioned to the attendant that I'd be in Chicago in November so I'd need to vote absentee.

Her: Oh, are you going to school up there?
Me (hearing this as a standard question asked of a guy who looks college-age): Yeah, actually, I'm going back for my second year.
Her: Oh, I didn't know you'd already been. I thought you'd just graduated this year.
Me (thinking "wait, you know who I am?" :o): *smile and nod*

You can't hide in small towns, even when you want to. :shrug:
