5. 43 + 34 = 77
Of course, I'm also 34... But Affleck would be better off selling car insurance...

11. And '77 was the year Elvis died, 29 years ago tomorrow
And 29 broken down as 2+9 is 11 and if you break that into 1+1 you are left with 2, and Elvis was a twin...

This means something.

This means something.

15. I was 14 then, and I was in Italy with a friend of mine and her
father at the time it happened. I remember all the Italian newspapers being full of Elvis remembrances. One English-language newspaper there was full of nothing but Elvis stories.

:hi:

16. I was overseas, too
And it was raining. :-(

I had only discovered him a year before -- probably to the day or close enough -- when I saw a marathon of some of his movies on TV, and I barely knew anythign about him but when I heard the news it still somehow hit me very hard. I'll never forget seeing a news broadcaster break down and cry...

2. I thought the same thing.
He seems older or hasn't aged well, can't decide.

6. Not as beyond-his-years looking as many, though
I am always surprised when I see a man in his early 30s who looks a good five to ten years older than me (I'm 42 now), though very often the apparent age has less to do with physicality than other attributes that affect bearing. Genes may play a part, sure, as can hard living or abuse of the body, but some people just seem to get older earlier, and often look it.

I just need to look at all the profs I knew in universities who seem forever young and who -- gray hair or no hair aside -- even more often than not look and certainly seem at least a decade younger than they are, if only through their dynamism and energy, to see that looking your age is not purely a physiological thing. When I was first in university, around the age of 20, I was surprised to meet high-school classmates who'd skipped university anhd gone on to other fields of endeavour (mechanics and tradesmen, mostly) who not only were doing weird things like getting married and having children but who looked like they aged ten years compared with those of us who went to university and somehow got the Peter Pan thing going on, if only for the duration of our internment. It was really, really odd.

Marty DiBergi: Do you feel that playing rock 'n' roll music keeps you a child? That is, keeps you in a state of arrested development?

Derek Smalls: No. No. No. I feel it's like, it's more like going, going to a, a national park or something. And there's, you know, they preserve the moose. And that's, that's my childhood up there on stage. That moose, you know.

Marty DiBergi: So when you're playing you feel like a preserved moose on stage?

Derek Smalls: Yeah.

I found out a couple of weeks ago that Ben and I were born on the same day, same year. Weird. We're both Leos and Rats.

14. Awfully young to have a rug, don't you think?
Yet he apparently has one:

http://videoeta.com/news/1249

Hunky Ben Affleck flipped his wig at a party recently taking all of his friends (including his new lover) by complete surprise. The Pearl Harbor star was playing around with buddy Vince Vaughn when his hairpiece flew across the room.
