How do you feel about artsy types?
Not the freaky pierced ones. The earthy ones. You know, those artsy women in the long dresses that you never see in store (where do they buy them?).

There's just something about artsy women that really catches my eye. I guess it's partly the art, and partly the fact that they're not into all the girly stuff. They seem to be easy going and low manitenance.

Just rambling.

1. You're just looking at the wrong stores.

If you go to New Paltz, NY or New Hope, PA there are tons of stores selling those dresses and more.

Oh and I like the artsy types regardless of what they're wearing.

13. Very nice! Digital or film?

And if it was digital, did you shoot it in B&W mode, or color and then switch it in editing?

18. Just for fun. Never took a class in it.
I'm thinking of signing up for one though. Plus I should finish school eventually.

21. I would definitely encourage you to take a class or several in it.

You naturally have a good eye for composition. And good photography skills will always come in handy throughout your lifetime. I took my first photography class in undergrad because it was required. I didn't think I would like it, but I liked it so much that I made it my minor.

is there a qualitative difference between shooting in B/W and switching to black white on a digital camera?

26. I honestly don't know.
I just prefer to shoot in color and switch to B/W later.

7. Sorry if that struck a nerve
If someone was inherently "freaky" looking, through no fault of their own, it would be insensitive and inaccurate to say it. But when one goes through great pains (literally) to look freaky, they are making an effort to categorize themselves as such.

11. I'm not going through great pains to make myself look freaky.
I don't believe piercings and tattoos look "freaky." So, as an aside, what's the line that defines "freaky" and "non-freaky?" How many piercings does one need? Where do they need to be pierced?

Oh yeah, and the pain is there, but it's not really "great."

20. IMVHO there are some who do it to look freaky
this guy is just an example. Sorry, but there is something very weird about trying to make yourself look like a tiger or an animal...but that's just me.

23. Well, you're posting quite the extreme example.
Very few are setting out to do that. Do I need to turn myself into a tiger to be a freak or do I just have to pierce my sceptum?

your piercings and tatoos are not in the freaky category at all. I was just having a little fun being a smart ass. :hi:

3. Artsy women?
I like 'em. :D

I mean, I take everyone on individual merit, and it could also be said that I'm willing to like any woman until she's proven an evildoer, but artsy women in the long dresses apeal enough, sure.

As long as they're not pretentious artsy types. I've had my share of those kind, male and female, and have no tolerance for 'em any more.

I like those dresses, though.

5. As far as looks go or interests?
Odd question. Not sure what you're asking. I like the look (and feel) of a long, breezy, comfortable dress.

And I like artistic people, male and female. I like the way they tend to view the world and I admire people who can express themselves through some sort of artistic medium. Even if they have *gasp* piercings.

22. They kick ass...
although all the ones around here are old enough to be my mom. Hippies and the such. I miss city-life. You don't see the dresses in the stores because they many tend to be masters of a lost and long-forgotten art known as sewing and can make their own.

The "freaky" (pardon me this, but I don't like that word. I don't know.) pierced ones are cool too and they often have tattoos. Those ones are even cooler, especially if they're into unique, historic body-art like Sailor Jerry.
