My 5000th post: A retrospective (big dialup warning!)

I remember the day I first set foot on DU. I though, "Wow! A place where people who think like I do can exchange ideas and information!" :P Well, from the first time I entered General Discussion, I knew I was in trouble. :rofl: I ventured into the Lounge a few times and saw that the Lounge a lot more fun than GD, so I stayed.

I remember my first pic posting in early May 2006. I was kind of hesitant to do it, but I figured what the hell... :P I blew a kiss to the Lounge, and it prompted billyskank to draw me, so it was well worth the pic!



So far so good. I posted a few more pics, including:



The Lounge was still getting to know me. Suddenly in July, an event known as the FReeper Flashing incident occurred, and I posted here! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=5377343 The Loungers got to know me very well, whether they wanted to or not. :P A reenactment of the incident appears below. This reenactment is a special new commemorative pictorial just for this post.

REENACTMENT OF THE FREEPER FLASHING INCIDENT

A few days later, I was traveling for business and getting very punchy, so I posted these pics featuring the FReeper Flashing Robe:





And on my trip to Boston two weeks ago, I took these and posted them:

So that's the story so far in pictures. As an added bonus in honor of MissHoneyChurch, here is a picture of my butt:
