Who else had a root canal today?
I had a root canal with insurance. Much better than the last two I've had, which were without insurance and caused weeks of pain and waiting.

Pain on Saturday, root canal on Monday morning -$250 damages.

1. My root canal was painless, great Dentist.
Hope you are feeling better now, my rootcanal cost $500 with a dental discount card, saved me about $250.

If your tooth hurts try taking Oil of Oregano caps, I took a few and the pain left very quickly.

I had to work and couldn't take pain pills.

6. To me the worst part was when the Dentist open up the package of
needles. She explained what would happen, not to worry. I think the package had 10 needles from large to small. I had a strong root to kill. If I would have went to the dentist sooner, all I would have needed was a crown.

The only bad part was listening to the man next door, screaming with his broken tooth. My tooth had hurt to but I didn't scream about it.

5. I got a root canal once when I was little. 2 doses of novacaine and
some laughing gas. There are few times when I've felt better than right after that

7. I had a total mouthful and the dentist asked me what kind of dog I had
I think they should only ask you yes or no questions under those circumstances!

8. No, but I go to the dentist tomorrow.
Only a routine checkup, but my teeth are already beginning to ache in anticipation. It always happens in the days leading up to a visit.

Just grin and bear it for those 45 minutes, and I'll be done until January (knock on wood).:bounce:

11. I did. On my birthday too!
I've been in such on-and-off pain that I took the first date available. Antibiotics over the past 10 days removed most of the infection.

90 minutes in the chair with my mouth pried open, rubber damn in place. Yuk! Turned out the tooth had three roots so time ran out and I get to go back in 10 days.

The worst part was that I could feel the pain as the dentist hand-drilled one of the roots. Once I nearly jumped out of the chair. But, I glad that's over and done. I'm beginning to feel better this evening and look forward to eating some solid food such as big salad (that's the vegan in me).

The dentist is really great. He's ex-Navy (so am I), knows his stuff and has a great team that works impressively well together. My favorite part is that I get to look at the nurse's beautiful green eyes without appearing to be a masher!

12. No but on a drive in the country
I came to the intersection of County Road YY and ZZ. (True!) I feared going onward as the edge of the Earth was nearby. I then thought of getting a root canal to distract me from an ensuing anxiety attack. Which worked and I continued on on my way to my tax audit/colonoscopy appointment.
