Movies with New York venues
I need some help from you film buffs out there...

I would like to compile a list of films that are based in New York or that have a New York theme. The goal is to eventually screen the films for international students here in New York. Our students are 18 to 40 and are very interested in New York culture, pop culture, design, architecture, art and history. They are all over the spectrum in terms of the types of films they like (comedy, drama, independent, thrillers, etc.). It would be great if they could view some of the films then visit the landmarks or neighborhoods in the films.

So -- any suggestions?

1. Last Exit to Brooklyn
A great movie, but not a "feel good" flick.

2. It would be great if you can track down the film they ran at the Oscars
back in 2002. It had clips from dozens of New York City films and was a wonderful tribute to the city. DOes anyone know if that piece is floating around anywhere, like on You Tube?
