1. They must have copied the rules for
Temple Christian School in Hamlet, NC, word for word. The only difference is they don't say a girl will go to Hell if her skirt is short enough to see her knees. Apparently those fundy types have a sexual perversion and can't quit thinking about how sexy those little girls' knees are. So, they've banned knees, I see.

2. WTF is wrong with skorts?
They allow shorts but skorts are banned.

And when you are on "vacation" (e.g. on break from school) you have to follow all of the schools rules even then. So when you're on summer break and a thousand miles from the school you still can't wear skorts or halter tops. :eyes:

3. Respect While Dating / Social Behavior
All students are asked to display mature Christian behavior in social interaction. Proper respect must be shown to all individuals at all times. Harassment of any type will not be tolerated. Handholding is the only appropriate form of personal contact. Improper personal contact or other forms of public display are considered in poor taste. After dusk, students should not be alone with an individual of the opposite sex in any unlighted area such as the ball fields, parking lots, parked cars, ravine or other wooded areas, etc. This is considered improper social behavior.

Sounds like somebody's a tad repressed.

7. At least they're nice enough to let you know where the dark places are!
Now the kids don't have to hunt around for them.

4. Yes.
I had to do some research on competitors' financial aid packages when I was a financial aid director (up until Oct. of last year). I knew Liberty was a fundie school, and most of the time, schools with that kind of directive are not eligible to award Federal aid. However, Liberty IS eligible and does so. Bob Jones University in SC (of like fundie status) does NOT offer Federal aid and pretty much does what it wants. :eyes:

5. Not lately.
They're pretty ridiculous. I did see a Liberty University decal on the back window of his/her car. I don't think I'd so readily admit to the world that I spent a shitload of money on an inferior education at an (arrogantly) unaccredited "university." I think you'd sooner get me to admit to wetting the bed after age 12.

6. All the fundie colleges have pretty much the same strict rules
I knew 2 girls that I use to hang out with at a summer camp and both of them went to Messiah. One weekend they bugged me to visit them. OMG :wow: That was the freakiest weekend ever. And when they told me about the rules I was just shocked.

Needless to say, I never went back again

9. My daughter goes to Sweetbriar College which
is a small girls college about 15 miles from Falwellville. She is proud of the JF's name for Sweetbriar girls:the harlots on the hill.

BTW, she was taking a friend to the hospital in Lynchburg when Fallberg was having his near death experience. She overheard a conversation at the nurses station. It seems that Fallsmirk's head nurse was gay and his cardiologist was muslim. Seems that Fallsquirt owes his life to sodomists and heathens. I gues Fallswarm has sold his soul to the Devil.

Oh, that's right, he IS the devil.

10. Wow, they let women wear slacks and jeans now
Used to be they didn't allow slacks at all, only skirts or dresses.

14. At least no one is compelled to attend there by law!
I'd never want to go to a school like that, but some people do. I'd have trouble with the rules about music and movies-I don't like people telling me what I can listen to and what I can watch.

When I was in college at WMU, there were two girls who had transferred from Liberty. They were still devout christians, but they said that it was too easy for them at Liberty. They felt like it was a deeper commitment to attend a secular university and maintain their faith than to do so where there are no challenges. I really respected their attitudes about it. They basically followed the same rules, but voluntarily.
