2. Hi
I really hate when it's like this because I Know it's gonna be busy later...and if I get lazy and slow now, I'm gonna be furious by the end of the night.

6. Yup. Always something to do on those days.
Maybe it's Sunday. Maybe everyone's out enjoying the last days of summer, before...well...

you know.

I don't want to. I'm starting high school and it's just something new and unfamiliar and i guess i'm afraid of that.

13. My kids go back to school on Thursday, too.
Funny how different it looks from the other side of the road. #2 son is going to be a senior this year; seems like he was just where you are.

Give it a day or two...you'll be fine. Take a deep breath and just put one foot in front of the other. Don't worry about the other kids, there's plenty of time for that. Learn the school, learn the routine...in no time at all you'll feel like you've always been there.

And, if you need to vent or scream or something, feel free to holler at me.

14. Aw, you're awesome!
It's odd, because all of us (myself included) have made the high school on the other side of the sidewalk (I go to a private school and the middle school and the high school are on the same campus) into some sort of paradise-a reward for toughing it out through the tyrannical (yes, it was just that-we got week-long detentions for not wearing socks!) middle school.

It's always hard being the youngest, but it seems like 5th grade was easier than 9th......

16. Fifth grade IS easier
There's not as much pressure when you're in the fifth grade. And it's going to be worth it, you'll see. Just don't expect paradise. Fun, maybe, but...paradise? Not likely.

(Damn...detention for no socks? YIKES!!)

15. You know what I found yesterday...
(speaking of cabana boys -- and no, not a cabana boy, dammit)

This candle thingie that's not wax...it's soy oil and vitamin E and coconut oil and a couple of other kinds of oil. You burn it and take the warm oil and rub it into your skin (and somehow the oil's warm, not hot). Feels kind of heavy at first but after a while, it makes it so soft.

I used it on my feet today after I polished my toenails, and it feels sooooooo good.

Now I just need to find...well...a cabana boy.

9. LOL!
Trouble is my middle name. That's what the "M" stands for. "Merde"

Wait, that doesn't translate to 'trouble', does it?

And coffee? I'm always up for more coffee. I measure my consumption by the pot. Some people seem to think I should seek help...

*ahem*

I just need to stay alert; on my toes, as it were.

12. Sounds like a plan to me.
I've got a thermos of coffee and a bag of peanut butter M&Ms I could kill.

On second thought, nah...not quite as satisfying when your prey doesn't protest.

22. I confess...
I'm evil. Killing the innocent; the seconds...the minutes...the hours. It's the itty-bitty nano-seconds that I really feel guilty about; I mean, they never did anything to anyone, they're so teeny-tiny.

I'm doomed...doomed.

I need a life.

And sleep is overrated.

(I figure, if I tell myself that long enough and often enough, maybe...? Or do you think my logic's flawed?)
