The way my folks tell it, my very first words were, "I want some beans".

Apparently I had never uttered any words up to that point. I guess I just didn't need to say anything up to that point.

It was my aunt's dog's name. He used to tear down the hallway of the apartment, jump up near the crib and steal my stuffed animal. My mom says that one day I just yelled SLICK when he walked into the room.
