3. O, not to worry. He'll never find it.
I love this effort (bless their hearts) the media are making to turn Bush into someone capable of "insight". Now excuse me while I throw myself on the floor and continue laughing..

9. I don't know if you have revisited the
fucking thread, but it's even more hilarious now than it was before.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=364&topic_id=1871714

The last thing we want is that man reading Catcher In The Rye. Could you imagine the crazy things he would think? All three of his brain cells would be arguing with each other. It would be hilarious.

11. Ha! Maybe he'd figure out what the word "phony" means.
:D You're probably right, anyway! I really liked your imagery of his brain cells arguing with each other:

Brain cell 1: Is there goats in this book?
Brain cell 2: Nu-uh.
Brain cell 3: Shaddup. I'm the decider here.

Also, thanks for that link- That thread made me laugh so freaking hard! :hi:

Bush reading Camus is about as believable as a cat that can knit sweaters

17. You're so right. The fact that the book is little more than pamphlet-
length only adds to the absurdity. So yes, he probably did get his monkey-paws on the Cliffs Notes long enough to hand it to Condi so she'd read them to him.

23. I think that this is the scenario:
Edited on Sat Aug-12-06 12:24 PM by Sugar Smack
Scene: The royal bedroom of the White House. It's late at night and Laura's in the kitchen with a half-empty bottle of gin in front of her. Her hair is askew and she seems to be losing an argument with her sock. Meanwhile, in the Royal bedroom, George reclines on the bed in his cowboy hat, Superman boxers and boots. Condi's in a candy-pink peignior and matching feather mules on her feet. She sits on a padded red-velvet chair next to George and crosses her legs becomingly.

With a small wicked grin, she says, "We're going to do a little something different tonight, Sugarbum."

George: Well, don't leave me hangin' princess. Bring it on!

Condi (pulling out "The Stranger"): Let's pretend I'm your high school teacher and you're in detention. And I'll read you a naughty book.

George: This ourghta be good. What'd I do now?

Condi: You stole money from the school funds. Okay, chapter one: 'Mother died today. Or maybe yesterday; I can't be sure'. (voice softens and gets all breathy)

George: Say that again. It gets me all hot.
