6. Nope !
That song was popular when my mother passed away.
They played it at her funeral.
I have a hard time hearing that song without feeling sad.(Not just because it sucks)
I also refuse to believe in a god or an angel that would let my mother die so young.

And leading the fight against them is this organization:

The organization's top angel fighter is a whiny, chronically-depressed 14 year old Japanese kid named Shinji who desperatley needs to fucking get laid already.

Not fair to make a generalization about when people make choices about their belief systems.

Mine was pretty much a move toward becoming atheistic over many years. Went from belief to suspended belief to atheism.

I really enjoy simply being alive in the here and now, recognizing I'm a part of the infinite cosmos.

45. Fair to midlin for me these days, except I'm excited about the
party's chances in November.

A lot of folks are watching Colorado. Lots of talk about Denver as the Dems' convention site in 08.

I like the idea a lot.

49. Well, yeah. But that excitement is pretty strong compared to other
years.

In Ohio, one of the key Diebold states, Ken Blackwell is something like 8 million points behind Strickland.

I'm not sure even the most dastardly Diebold system can undo a lead like Strickland's at this point.

Fairly early in the evening on Nov. 7th we'll get an idea of how things are going with those early precincts from Ohio. If Strickland defeats Kenneth "I Am Diebold" Blackwell, it could be a very happy night for the blue team.

And especially in your neck of the woods.

Hope that music gig went well. All good wishes.

37. This probably sounds weird, but....
I think our family members who have passed away help to protect us. I know there was an "angel" with my son when he had a bad car accident a couple of years ago. The car was totalled, and he didn't have a scratch on him. Maybe it was good luck, good engineering, or the intervention of a good soul. There is much we do not know.

38. Yes, I do.
I can't explain why, I just know they are there, sometimes.
Some call them spirits, some call them angels. I've felt this
way for a long time.

Then---Carlos Santana, who is an angel in his own right, comes along
with Sacred Fire and substantiates( for me) what I have felt all along, i.e.
that " there are angels all around us"( in Spanish and English). Yeah! ;-)

Oh, California Peggy is an angel, too.

Yep, Carlos is right, they are here among us.

Thanks for posting this, KC2.
You're not alone.

40. I think there are two kinds of angels.
One is the metaphoric kind, when the painter or poet needs an agent of message or change or pronouncement, and invokes a figure of an angel to do the deliverin'. Like Hermes or like St. Michael, or any anonymous herald-type figure.

The other is cowboy angels. I know this because Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris told me so, when they sang:

"Out with the truckers and the kickers and the cowboy angels..."

--from the tune "Grievous Angel."

And if Gram and Emmylou say they're there, they're by god THERE.
