why doesn't DU have stalker features?

Or do they, and I just don't know about it? Like the little button where you can see if someone is online or not, and then you can go and see when the last time they visited was, and then you can check it like, say, every fifteen minutes or so to see if they've come on yet, and you wait, and you wait, and you wait...

but it's running pretty slow right now and it would have required me to do some research which I didn't want to do if the person had already gone to bed because it will probably fall off the page and they would never know.

that kind of thing. Just curious because alot of little rinky-dink figure skating sites I visit have those features and this one is so big I wonder if they omitted them on purpose and if so why. It may be that FS is more stalkeresque, (which it is, lol).

I don't know if I want to get involved in chat again. I did that for a while in February and March and I would be having private convos with so many people I couldn't keep up (it was about a sport, not sex, though...I'm a dork). But it seemd addictive and very time consuming. Plus it turns out that the owners of the site the chat was on were somehow privy to some things that were said even though it was supposed to be private. That freaked me out...it leads you to think it's private but in reality it apparently wasn't. I guess nothing is anymore.

7. I think it's kind of odd

because like I said, these peonish sites that I read have them. I have to think the reason DU doesn't have them is either they cause trouble or there are so many members it's too much bandwidth (????) use or something (???). I don't know anything about that stuff, just trying to guess.
