This is starting to seem like Fate.
I just acquired a new customer today. Without even trying; the sales guy from one of the trade magazines told them to call me, they did, and it looks very much like they're going to license my software for their website.

And guess what: They're in New Hampshire. A four-hour drive from here, but only an hour from the (potential) new house.

If I was religious, I'd be saying that God wants us to make the move.

6. We'll have lunch before I go, though...
and then you can come up and visit.

But I'll be down this way four times a year anyway, and we could do lunch one of those times. I'll not be a stranger.

2. There are no coincidences

When things are meant to happen, they fall into place so easily.

5. LG, I've always said that things happen because they're supposed to.
Not always for the best, but because they're supposed to.

Kind of Calvinist, I suppose, but there it is...

7. The house is beautiful
and the tone of your post when you described going "home" leaves no doubt that you're going home.

I'm so glad this is falling into place for you.

9. Someone mentioned me being "bubbly with excitement," and I am.
Almost giggly. Occasionally weepy.

There have been SO many times in my life when I've said "I'll just go and do THIS" when a saner person would have given the situation a lot more thought.

But you know what? I've been disastrously wrong a few times, but right more times that that. Take, for example, spending the last $600 I had to my name (really) and spending it to fly Mrs R here from California...

11. I'll be religious for you and confirm that He does.
There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home. ;)

Now you see why I can't leave here, despite everything.

It is home. :)

I'm so happy for you.

12. What a peach you are, even being Religious-On-Demand. Yes, I do
understand why you'll sweat in a FEMAnsion rather than leave. I understand why people are living in tents for over a year, rather than leaving.

I do understand.

I've been down there. I lived in Houston, and spent significant time from the Cajun lands of Lafayette to where you are. I know that land. And I can see, I really can, why people from there would be as fiercely loyal to that land as I am to New England.

You do not have to convince me. But you do have to come visit. And you can bet yout bottom dollar we'd reciprocate...I do want the Little Guy to see some bayous and eat a Central Grocery Muffaletta, after all.
