1. Hmmm...
That's my sermon topic this Sunday.
"I am the true bread from heaven." (John 6)

Raisin bread would be cool. It would have the grapes right in there, making communion infinitely more easy to distribute. :)

4. Tim is talking about bread too. Must be the Lexicon.
Raisin Bread would be perfect for communion and we wouldn't have to dip it. I hate that intinction thing we have started doing. So messy.
I think I will pass on the raisin bread idea. LOL.

you mean the Lectionary?
Yup. John 6: 35, 41-51.
Although, I'm also leaning towards the Ephesians text, where Paul tells Christians how they ought to behave towards one another. Suffice it to say that they aren't doing that here very well. (in one church, that is)

We did intinction last Sunday. I gave the chalice holder a pile of napkins, and we avoided any messy incidents. :)

28. yes, Lectionary, silly me. Where did I ever come up with
Lexicon..oh well. It will be a nice Service anyway.

Last week was Youth Sunday and 4 of our graduating seniors gave the sermon; two at each service. It was great.

11. RevCheese and I are both United Methodists, so all over the
world, United Methodists will be hearing about Bread of Life this Sunday.
It is a very neat thing actually, to know we are all more or less into the same message, however interpreted locally.

9. Zucchini bread tastes good.
The Z does not contribute to the taste of the bread as much as it does the texture and nutritional value. :)

18. Here's another good one
If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you,
You're all that's left me too.
And when my love for life is running dry,
You come and pour yourself on me.

If a man could be two places at one time,
I'd be with you.
Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.
If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die,
I'd spend the end with you.
And when the world was through,
Then one by one the stars would all go out,
Then you and I would simply fly away

Omega bread from Trader Joes. Supposedly, it's comparably healthy. I'm going to pick some up tomorrow.

I don't have any right now to look at the ingredients.

I would guess sugar cane since it originated in Hawaii.

29. and Aubrey was her name - we tripped the light and danced together
on the moon
but where was June?
no, it never came around
if it did, it never made a sound
maybe I was absent, or was listening too fast
catching all the words, but then the meaning going past

and god, I miss the girl
and I'd go a thousand times around the world
just to say she had been mine for a day

Bread

In front of my friends in high school, I was all about Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

But behind closed doors, I was all ears for Olivia Newton-John, ABBA, and Bread.

31. My upbringing was so dumb I used to think that the statement
that man does not live by bread alone meant that you couldn't just eat bread and live. Which was all we had to eat many times other times not, but years later I learned the next sentence which was,"But by every word that issues of from the lord thy god", heh too bad I'm not a Christian etc etc etc but it did make more sense to me after that little infill.

My sister makes the best homemade Cinnamon bread I love it.

that all the low carb, cheaper brand bread I use to buy, is not longer being sold! Its like, the minute I find a cheaper, low carb bread the store stops carrying it...it sucks!

36. I love bread!
Just nothing like it. Here's a couple loaves of French bread I made a while back. Unfortunately it's too hot to crank up the oven right now. One of my favorite things to on a cold winter Sunday afternoon is bake bread.
