What's your current theme song?
We did this a couple of weeks ago, but it's time to do it again! :D Currently, my theme song is "I Know What Boys Like" by the Waitresses. :P

12. "Thunder Road" by Springsteen I guess.
Mostly just because everytime I cross the NY state line into NJ on my way home from CT, I pop in the "Born to Run" CD. It's very appropriate after sitting through the hellish traffic that is CT and finally making it to the "promised land" of NJ.

25. have you ever heard "The Price You Pay"?
He wrote that and Emmylou sung it, it kind of has the same themes, but it's sad.

Little girl down on the strand
With that pretty little baby in your hands
Do you remember the story of the Promised land
How he crossed the desert sands
And could not enter the Chosen Land
On the banks of the river he stayed
To face the price you pay
So let the games start
You better run you little wild heart
You can run through all the nights and all the days
But just across the county line
A stranger passin' through put up a sign
That counts so many fallen away
To the price you pay,

yep, it's a bummer.

40. Yep, I've heard that as well.
Good song, but sad and not appropriate for crossing into NJ, as Emmylou isn't exactly Jersey.

13. King for a day (fool for a lifetime) / FNM

It is not a good day, if you are not looking good
This is the best party that I've ever been to
Today I asked for a god to pour some wine in my eyes
Today I asked for someone to shake some salt on my life
Look !
Everything's spinning
(We're on the ground)
Never cheer before you know who's winning
(Don't make a sound)

Sniff the glass and let it roll around on you tongue
Let me introduce you to someone before the party is done
Someone to look to in need or in want or in war
If you give hime everything, he may give you even more

This is the best party I've ever been to

Don't let me die with that sillky look in my eyes

16. Today it's a song called "I Don't Wanna Be Tied"
At least, that's the one that's going around and around in my head. I recorded it the other day and it won't go away...kinda catchy. ;-)

Not really a theme song in the sense of describing what kind of person I am. I've got lots of those. Right now I'd settle for "Shaft," if only because it's one of the coolest tunes ever laid down.

27. Guitar by cake
Im sitting by the window of your thirty-second floor apartment
Waiting for your phone calls all to end
Im sitting watching wind blow
Watching time go
Watching cars go by
Im waiting for these memories to begin

If I threw my guitar
Out the window, so far down
Would I start to regret it
Or would I smile and watch it slowly fall?

Garbage trucks and taxi cabs
Dont seem like they can reach me here
The clamor of jack-hammers seems so faint
The way you treat me like the only
Slightly brings me down a lot
I dont think Ill ever be the same

If I threw my guitar
Out the window, so far down
Would I start to regret it
Or would I smile and watch it slowly fall?
####################################################
It just rings true to my situation "If I threw my guitar out the window" If i said FUCK IT!

"Other Side of Life" has always been my theme song

So take your share of the gifts that are there
They all belong to you.
And come what may at the break of each day,
We all begin anew, once more.
We all begin anew.
